Portview stripped out the existing fixtures to permit the construction of the base build, paving the way for millwork, including the display cases and specialist wall panelling.

To complement the iconic Tiffany blue, which is accented throughout the space with carefully selected soft furnishings and textiles, a contemporary colour palette of pearlescent, silver tones and subtle blues was introduced.

The space features a private selling room, where customers can admire decadent surroundings whilst sipping on a glass of freshly chilled champagne. As a subtle nod towards the famous artistry of Louis Comfort Tiffany, a magnolia motif was woven into carpeted areas and continued onto the etched wall coverings and glass-carved lamps.
Portview were responsible for setting out and positioning the spigot floor boxes which feed the power to the showcases up the leg of the fixture. This is a precision element of work that allowed for little or no tolerance, which Portview’s in-house design team, along with the on-site foreman, ensured were set and positioned to perfection.

A steel framework was constructed to create a false ceiling, embellished with elaborate specialist plaster mouldings to give the space an air of vintage glamour. Key to the project was the need to progress with as little disruption to the trading hours of the department store, with the build taking place behind discreet hoardings and the louder elements taking place after hours on what was a 24-hour process.
