The two-phased project involved the demolition and restructuring of a staff kitchen and restaurant within the famous department store. The team had 16 floor levels to contend with, during the delivery of the new walls, floors, and ceilings.

The two zones comprising Shoe Heaven were connected to give the feeling of one generous open space. Some of the many luxury trappings in Shoe Heaven include 100 tonnes of stone sourced from Verona, which was used to spectacular effect in an intricate design feature at the entrance of each zone.

Lavish features include the rotunda, finished in curved stone with hand-milled Travertine stone detailing, handmade carpets from Thailand and a magnificent curved white dome ceiling constructed of handmade Viennese glass sections, revealing the time of day according to where the daylight is.
