Harrods Restaurants

Building on a long-standing relationship, Portview built three new eateries on the second floor for the world-famous department store, Harrods.

Location London

Sector Hospitality

Size 740 sqm Timescale 5 months

The project was delivered in phases over five months and started with stripping out and demolition of the existing units. The space which totals 740 sqm was transformed into three innovative restaurants bringing the designer’s brief to life.

Portview sourced, produced, and installed bespoke fixtures and fittings according to the client’s brief. In the Pizzeria, this included a copper-clad ceiling and canopy, stained glass panelling around a lighting feature, a specialist extract ventilation system for the log fire ovens, and a bespoke metal shop front. The Pizzeria also incorporates the Prosecco Bar, including a bespoke ‘Canti’ sign clad with crystals, which was made and installed by Portview.

In the Ice Cream Parlour and Tea Room, the team carried out a significant amount of cornicing work including a moulding of the London skyline in the coffered ceiling, and installation of bespoke timber shop fronts.

Portview supplied and installed furniture for all the restaurants, the majority of which were bespoke such as marble top tables and counters, leather-based banquette seating and a circular table with central display tiers.

The project encompassed a full services package including all mechanical and electrical works, a lighting package with extensive use of LED, air conditioning, sprinklers, security systems (CCTV, fire, voice evacuation), a leak detection system, BMS, and a music system for each restaurant.
